Meet the flagship sparkling wine from the Istenic family, based in the eastern rolling hills of Slovenia. Taking its name from founder and fizz fan Janez Istenic's football shirt from his days as Slovenia's national goalkeeper, the wine is made in the same traditional method as Champagne. It takes two of Champagne's classic varieties, Chardonany and Pinot Noir, and blends them with the indigenous Rumeni Plavac, which adds a dollop of white peach to the flavour. It's a smooth, fine wine with stone fruits, summer berries and creamy, lees-aged character.
