When we talk about wine, the Eastern Med is less well known but it produces delicious, spicy reds that are perfect partners for grilled meats and veg with rosemary, rich deep tagines and nights sitting outside by the BBQ.
From the famous Beqaa valley in Lebanon we have two wines; Domaine des Tourelles which is deep ruby with expressive aromas of cherries, cedar wood, rosemary and cloves and Ksara's Reserve De Couvent, a juicy Bordeaux style blend with blackberries, vanilla and dried cherries.
Rounding out the case, from Georgia, is the Chelti Winery's Saperavi, just a gorgeous ruby red with red cherry, plum, leather and silky, silky tannin. Enjoy!
