Domaine Alain Gueneau
Domaine Alain Gueneau is one of the Loire's most revered estates. Winemaker Alain Gueneau and his daughter Elisa work on their 16 hectare estate planted in Sancerre, France. Most of his vines are planted on "terres blanches", a name given to the calcareous clay soils famed in Sancerre, while others are planted on "caillottes", which are stony, more free-draining soils. White Sancerre is their main trade, but they also produce wonderful rose. Both Alain and Elisa are dedicated to sustainable winemaking and preserving their unique terroir.
