Villany

Villany is probably Hungary's most exciting red wine region. In recent years winemakers here, located in the south of Hungary just off the Danube River, have turned their focus to producing high quality varietal wines from Cabernet Franc. These styles have become so successful that the region has coined the term Villanyi Franc to describe the unique style of fuller bodied, premium Cabernet Franc that comes from this warm climate region. The wines need at least a few years in bottle to soften but they're stunning when ready!
