Chelti Winery are one of Georgia's finest family owned wineries whose wines receive multiple awards each vintage. The history of the winery can be traced back to the last century when the ancestors of the Marianashvili family built their first wine cellars, now, Giorgi and his children Ana and Andria head up the wine-making and operations.
Rkatsiteli is popular across the Caucasus and Eastern Europe, and with very good reason. Its a hardy grape that is resistant to the cold winters, it keeps with high acidity even in the warmer conditions, and it is exceptionally versatile making quality still, sparkling, sweet, and fortified wines as well as brandy. Its typical green apple, peach, and lime like citrus notes are its tell tale sign, while the more aromatic Mtsvane brings the floral and tropical seasoning.
Tsinandali is staking its claim as Georgia's flagship white wine. A blend of Rkatsiteli and Mtsvane from a small area within Kakheti, its a lighter style, fresh and crisp wine. Chelti's Tsinandali is very typical, with lovely elevated flavours of fresh pineapple, citrus, and stone fruits.
