This ruby red is abundant in forest fruit. It's a big, bold aromatic wine with waves of blackberry, spice and a hint of chocolate and licorice. Its full-bodied fruitiness is well balanced with with a touch of freshness and supple but present tannins.
Vranec, which means 'Black Stallion,' is a deep, purple coloured grape and it has rightly become the flagship of Macedonia's talented winemakers. Its at home in the warm valleys around Skopje where it achieves full ripeness and delicious depth of flavour.
